Letter, 1810 Aug. 3, Taunton, to Melinda White, Wrentham.

Writing to her dear friend and cousin in a wry, amusing manner, imploring her to visit. Describing herself as a poet, she states that "I am determined my genius shall no longer lie dormant & intend to publish a history of my own life - and the style shall be entirely original ..." Charlotte Lincoln married in 1817 and became Charlotte Newcomb. Melinda White married in 1810 and became Melinda Ware.
